On May 16th, the House and Human Development Committee debated HB 140, the bill that would allow doctors to prescribe lethal drugs to end a patient’s life. 

The committee heard nearly an hour of public comment. Many of those testimonies were powerful affirmations in support of life. They exposed the many problems with granting the system that was designed to preserve our life the authority to give permission for suicide.
