Hope for the Rising Generation

The American flag was burned…but there is hope for the rising generation.

In my activities and travels this month, I saw a sharp contrast between two groups of young people.

One group was part of a Palestinian protest that marched into Washington D.C. this past week, just blocks away from where my colleagues and I were attending a conference.

These young people burned the American flag, defaced American monuments, and chanted pro-terrorist language. They reacted with violence to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s presence in D.C. that day.

For the second group, it was a different story. They gathered in Dover, July 10-12th, for the annual Delaware Leadership Congress (DLC), hosted by DFPC.

What is the difference between these two groups? While the first group was a product of Marxist ideology, which resorts to violence to advance its distorted view of reality, the second group was learning to view reality through the lens of a biblical worldview

When DLC launched 10 years ago in partnership with Rick Green in Texas, we practically had to beg students to join the Academy. This year, we had the largest class in DLC history – 45 students rushed to fill the slots, and there were another 10 students on a waiting list!

The appetite for truth is growing in our young people, and your support allows us to meet them where they are.

We invest in our young people to inoculate them from the powerful deception of the Marxist ideology that they are encountering in our culture. Whether they attend college, enter the workplace, or start a family, no matter what, they will have to make a choice when confronted with deception.

Will they have the courage and conviction to stand, for their sake and the sake of those in their care?

We were able to train, encourage, and network 45 young adults to lead in their generation – all because of generous support.
