The Delaware Legislature officially reconvened on January 13th. This year is the second half of the 2-year legislative session, which means many bills from last year are still in process.
These three Constitutional Amendment proposals are among the bills that remain active from 2025:
- SB 5 and HB 14 are both aimed at enshrining abortion directly into Delaware’s Constitution. While the language differs between the two, the sentiment behind them is the same: creating a broad right to privacy in “reproductive freedom”, in many cases at the expense of human life.
- SB 100 significantly and dangerously redefines marriage in Delaware, and opens the door for further redefinitions at the statute level – even those not culturally accepted – to receive Constitutional level protection.
These are just a few examples of the legislation we continue to watch closely because of what they mean—not just for this year, but for the long-term direction of Delaware.

This year will bring new dynamics that deserve close attention.
Representative Alonna Berry is the newest member of the House; she was elected in August following the resignation of Rep. Stell Parker Selby, and is entering her first full legislative year. She has support from radical left organizations and progressive left elected officials; as with any new elected official that joins our small legislature, her worldview is expected to impact the agenda in the House.
2026 is also a mid-term election year, and there are several vacancies expected in both chambers, which will mean new legislators, new priorities, and new worldviews to shape Delaware policy.
Policy is a result of worldview, and each legislator has a perspective on what determines human flourishing, and what role the government plays in shaping society.
✅ The biblical worldview is that government is an agent of justice, to punish evil and reward good, and it best upholds prosperity when it protects the basic building block of society, the family.
❌ In contrast, the Marxist agenda, which influences a significant number of our legislators, destabilizes and destroys the family unit in order to replace it with the state.
This is a season to stay alert. Your voice matters – the messages you send to your legislator on important issues shape the narrative, confront deception, advance truth, and prevent evil from being promoted without opposition.
