Prayer closes the doors of Seaford’s Planned Parenthood!
A small group of Christ-followers, committed to prayer, discipleship, and action, have turned the tide in their community.
When Planned Parenthood opened a state-of-the-art surgical center in the middle of Seaford 3 years ago, these everyday pro-life folks chose not to stay silent and apathetic, but to pray together every time the doors of the clinic were open.
Their prayers were answered! Since the beginning of September, the doors of the Seaford Planned Parenthood have been closed!
When we discovered that a state of the art surgical abortion center was being built in the most conservative district of Sussex County, we sounded the alarm, and thousands of you sent emails to the developer.
DFPC members held prayer vigils at the construction site and alerted as many as they could about the true violence and evil of abortion.
We knew that the presence of an abortion clinic means preborn babies would be discarded as medical waste and trucks pulling up to the clinic to collect them – right in our backyard.
That was the last thing we wanted to see.
The Mayor of Seaford at the time chose to respond. He stood up to the State Attorney General and the media and Planned Parenthood with his “dignity ordinance,” which would require preborn baby remains to be treated with dignity.
We stood with him and paid for the lawsuit.
We trained people, committed to prayer, to be sidewalk advocates. These advocates have stood in front of the medical complex in all kinds of weather, committed to outnumbering the clinic staff. They prayed for each of them, and were ready with life giving options in hand for any client who came their way.
We are continuously presenting a biblical worldview of life, because rebuilding a culture of life and advancing truth is core to our mission – it’s who we are.

With your amazing support, we sowed into a new Pregnancy Care Center called Her Care Clinic, which celebrated a full year of service on June 22nd of this year – the 2nd anniversary of the overturn of Roe v. Wade.
Just this month, an abortion-minded young woman walked up to Planned Parenthood and discovered that THE DOORS WERE LOCKED.
She found her way to Her Care Clinic instead. Her baby was saved, and she even enrolled in the parenting support classes!
An entire community of churches, medical staff, prayer warriors, local government officials, attorneys, and generous donors rallied in defense of the preborn babies and families affected by the new abortion clinic.
